she was a pinky when i got her, she was supposed to be food… i fealt bad so i am caring for her, she is being fed every 3 hours during the day and once in the middle of the night. i am feeding her kmr kitten milk replacement and im diluting the powder more then recomended for kittens so that the milk is easier to swallow for the baby. she is in a closable plastic container with a couple fleece blankets in it (there are holes poked on the top for ventilation). the container is ontop of a heating pad set on meadium heat, only half the container is on the heating pad so she can crawl away from the heat if she is uncomfortable though she generally stays on the half with heat. she has very small teeath that i can see in her mouth and her eyes are still closed you can still see her pink skin but she is growing a coat and her pattern is noticable she is about 1 1/2 inches long including her tail. i know this is alot to read but any help would be very much appriciated. btw i am stimulating her to go to the bathroom but gentlly massaging her anus and genitals with a warm damp q tip after every feeding. (i got her yesterday she is still lively and eating well, she poops several times a day and pees often) does she have much of a chance?

I don’t mean the pretty, pink-skinned, healthy ones. I mean the darker-skinned ones, plus of course the crack babies, abused infants, prostituted teens and others who then grow up to perpetuate the problem. Or do we just pass a law against them, too?
Seriously, though, what is the religious right’s answer to the question of unwanted and/or abused children that would arise from “life begins at conception” social policies?

She has requested me to help her, I am okay but my husband feels awkward ,that I have to be skin to skin to some other baby.But I am thinking about the newborn, it needs care and her mom has got a rash on her hands and neck, so she feels a bit concerned.How do I go about it, any ideas for a successful Kangaroo care.

Don’t worry, my cat didn’t hurt it or anything – She just wanted to know what the heck it was lol. Now, I kind of would like to know the answer to that too.
First off, how do I tell the gender of a turtle?
What type of turtle is it? I can’t tell if it’s a baby or just small, but it’s about the size of credit card, just more round and less flat. He/she also has some orange markings on it’s neck (when it pokes up out of it’s shell). It also has bright and dark green patterns on the rest of it’s skin (legs, face, and neck). I don’t really see anything unique about it’s shell though.
Most importantly, how do I take care of it? I assumed since it was near water that it could swim, so right now it’s in a serving dish with about a half inch of water and a rock so it has a dry spot too. What do I feed it??? Do they eat small bugs, or can I just cut up some apple or lettuce like with my own turtle? (I have a desert tortis, but this new one is very different from him)

so i am a new single mom..and i have an old friend who babysat my 2 month old today..
-she knew how to soften his skin (by rubbing vasoline between your hands all over his body) now he feels like a newborn all over again..
-she bathed him and made sure all the little “cracks” between the fat of his skin were clean..she got rid of all the dry skin..and dry milk that was left on him from eating…
it just seem like she knew what she was doing more than i ever knew. and she doesn’t have a child! (besides experience from watching her nephew and what not)
and it made me feel like such a bad parent!! that i couldn’t bathe him right…or make his skin as soft– i was clueless!!!
on top of that–i am single and trying to return to work..so it makes it impossible to give the baby 100%…have u ever as a new mom felt that way?? there are so many things to learn!!!

I just had a baby and have NO time to go out for mani’s and pedi’s. I would like some tips on how to take care of my hands and feet at home, so that they are not so dry. I have used creams and a scrub in the bathtub but the skin on my feet is still dry. I suffer from exczema but don’t have it on my feet. Any tips on home pedis are welcomed. Thank you

babies themselves are precious lives but i’m sorry a fetus IMO is not. Why do you all get hung up over a fetus? it’s alive yet so is bacteria, skin cells, microscopic organisms, chicken fetuses. So what if it’s a human fetus. really. I don’t hate babies or people but sometimes i think people get too caught up in emotions to discuss abortion realistically.

Do you think it is safe to use clean and clear acne products while pregnant?? My face and neck has gotten so bad since i been pregnant(10w1d) and i hate it. I thought you were suppose to have that glow while pregnant but im still waiting for mine lol….but i thought since it is put out by jhonson and jhonson and they make all the baby products it wouldnt be to bad and since using it my face looks alot better. What do you think???
