This is called cradel cap. Do not pick at it. If you do it could bleed. Something that worked really well when my daughters (3 of them) got it was baby oil GEL. You can rub it on your babys head, it will not run down into the face or mouth. Then use a baby comb to come it out gently. After a few times it will be gone and safely. My kids cradel cap pretty much stayed away, with the exception of one who got it again around 6 months old. I just did it again.
Liquid baby oil is not safe if you have older children who may try to sip it. It causes suffocation. I recomend baby oil GEL and that is what my kids pedicatric doctor recomended.

Go to the drug store and find the baby shampoo especially for it. I think its called cradle cap or something like that. If it’s not on the shelf ask the pharmacist

Lol, it is called “cradle cap”, and lote of babies get it. Rub some olive or baby oil into the scalp once or twice a day till it clears up.

put some baby oil on her hair and brush it with a soft brush every day and the flakes will be gone. I did that and it was very effective

first off, it’s not dandruff, it’s cradle cap. All of my kids had it. Second, what I’ve always done to get rid of it was to put baby oil on their heads, don’t be skimpy, apply alot. Let it soak for about 30 min, to an hour. Then GENTLY take your nail and scrape off all the nasty old skin. If it doesn’t come off easily apply a bit more oil and try again in 30 minutes. Don’t scrape too hard just enough to get it off. It should come off fairly easy once enough oil has sunk into the skin. Good luck!

it is cradle cap!! Just use alittle baby oil in her hair and it will go away!! After a bath use the baby oil and use a baby comb to comb it through her hair! It won’t hurt her!!

Sounds crazy, but when my son was at Children’s Hospital one of the nurses told me to use just a drop of Head & Shoulders (they have one for sensitive skin). Just a tiny bit and rinse well. Use a baby tub so she is laying back so it doesn’t get in her eyes.

My doctor also told us to use Head and Shoulders for cradle cap. It works, and it smells great too! Just use a dime size drop or less, and keep it out of baby’s eyes. You are right about not bathing everyday too. Every other day or three days is fine as long as your baby isn’t playing in the sun or around other kids often. My doctor also warned us against Johnson & Johnson soaps and lotions. He says they are the most perfumed ones on the market and they can irritate baby’s skin majorly! We use Playtex, and we love it!

its usually cradle cap. There are shampoos for it, but the best thing you can do is keep her clean and use an infant bush on her once a day.
You dont want to scrub at it with shampoos since the skin underneath is really sensitive.
It usually clears up on its own. Its really very common.
But like i said, theres shampoos for it, and use her little infant hair brush on her.
