Babies’ skin can be really sinsitive. You are better off forgoing the fabric softener and handwashing everything with really mild soap until the baby gets to be about 6-8 months old.

its hard to know how sensitive your babies skin will be, but to be safe, use something especially gentle for the first while.. There are special laundry soaps just for babies.. and skip the fabric softener too… You should also run the rinse cycle twice, to make sure there isnt any soap left in the baby clothes…

use dreft at first for awhile, it’s in a pink bottle, then slowly try introducing other detergents, if you notice a rash or anything be very careful and rewash everything in the dreft

wash in a fabric softener instead of detergent then it will make clothes soft and clean them. works good for newborns. good luck and congrats on baby

dreft is a baby detergent or ALL has a baby detergent that costs alot less. It depends on the babys skin to know if it will be harsh. If you use regular maybe try using very little so it rinses out good.

You should get a detergent especially for baby. Ivory is good, there are some others. Don’t use fabric softener as it has too many chemicals in there.
