It’s the result of a medical skin condition called urticaria. Any pressure on the skin will produce a redness that can last for some time. So it is literally possible to “write” on the skin of someone with urticaria.

I do believe it’s a hoax and here’s why:
The baby’s skin has the same orange-ish tinge to it every time these “writings” appear. I think they use Henna.
Also if you look at the writing and many other miracles of Allah’s writing (i.e. the honeycomb that says Allah, the tomato) then you will see how eloquently the word Allah is written. The calligraphy is awesome in those but on teh leg if you look closely it looks pretty sloppy.
Now why would Allah (swt) want to write His own name sloppily? This is mere work of man and no it’s not child abuse, it’s merely using Henna on the body, many children do this regularly for decoration on their hands.

Its not henna. Medical experts have seen the child and henna takes a longer time to disappear, much longer.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnew…
I don’t see why his parents would lie or why they would enjoy seeing their son distressed. I cannot dismiss it as a hoax off hand because I am not a witness to it. But as a Muslim myself I don’t see how any other Muslim could look themselves in the mirror and lie about their child.

I know it is often reported the image of Jesus appearing in various places including on a toast, they recently sold it on the eBay. Another time it appeared on the bark of a tree and a third time in a little town that was losing tourists; now the tourists are back.
I find this hard to believe, if the parents are actually doing the writing that would be child abuse. I think though if it is a hoax the whole town is behind it, or at lest several of the local leaders of the town.
In Mexico, the image of Mary usually appears. At any rate, these event create good publicity and is generally not harmful, but in case of this baby that concerns me.
Eidt @ below: It could be considered child abuse because here it is not the use of henna they are using the baby as a publicity stunt. It can have a lasting impact because he could become a laughing stock of the town as the baby grows older. The government can come up with some devastating charges, you will be surprised. In U.S. their are score of cases like these where the children were removed from home.

I won’t/don’t believe a picture of anything like this (including the supposed tree that has a branch that spells out the shahada).
As for “Allah could have given us a sign, have you seen the tree’s saying la illaha illallah? and the fruit with allah’s name in it…”
Sister don’t you see outside your window that Allah DID give us signs and they are clear in front of EVERYONES faces? Supposed unnatural phenomenon have only ever appeared due to a miracle through a prophet.
Frankly no one should believe articles like this unless you see first hand (not a photo) the item/person who is supposedly involved. Seriously have you ever seen one of these ‘miracles’ in your neighborhood? How come they usually show up somewhere in Asia but no place else? Ridiculous.
